Picollo
hi guysi did a firmware upgrade to one of my hds only to see it give me a s.m.a.r.t warning everytime i reboot the computer, i skip the warning and sometimes the hd shows up on win7 sometimes it doesnt. a restart doesnt work it has to be a full reboot.when it shows up and when i try to check its contents it gives an error. i have lots of data (mostly isos and stuff i've downloaded) that i want to recover and backup to an external hd.the hd most surely is f***ed up but is there a program that makes the data available one more time for an emergency recovery and backup of files to an external hd?thanks in advance

Boskorp
In general cases HDD Regenerator doesn't break your data and is one of the best if not. But If You don't want to lose important information from a HDD that is already failing, better backup (on another HD) what you can and experiment after that.Another tools You can use MHDD (Victoria for Win) and HDAT2, find 'em in Hiren's BootCDGood Luck! R0H1T
No it doesn't, from what I understand it repairs bad sectors on the HDD ! There are quite a few nsane members that have given a heads up to this software, try it yourself & see what it does as it is there isn't any other "software tool" that'll do the same for you so its either this or a dedicated HDD recovery service ! Picollo
the problem with the HD is mechanical not file system or partition related. i can't access it anymore but it is recognized by the BIOS and Windows 7 but only when doing a hard reset. i will try both hdd regenerator and EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard WinPE Edition 5.6.1 Retail that Paul told me about.
