Hide IP/Mask IP/Change IP/Temp IP

I cant seem to download from Rapidshare after a certain amount, so i was wondering if there was a way to get make it think i have a fresh new IP.

When i download music, i download by the gig so you can see where the conflict is ;)

I tried restarting and reconnecting didnt work. I dont have a router either so the solutions i googled didnt quite help.

germans dont have a happy hour. doesnt seem to work :sneaky: anyway. from what i understand you do 1 free download per hour and after 3 times you have to wait a while longer. kind of while there is the pay for the nicer account. but even that seems to be not as nice with limits on it too.

vin3e are you using the free part or paid part? free is 50 mb limit on one d/l. paid is 3 gbs a day. but if you do too many 3gbs a day they limit you. (what their site says)

Im using the free part, cant really choose either :think: Greasemonkey extension takes care of that. hehe. I live in UK and have no idea what a proxy is :sneaky: something related WAN? Router? Yep im confused x_X

sorry i should added more to the question.

do i close the browser or leave it open? run the bat each time (in a certain folder or just anyway) and manual delete the cookie each time.

cookie i found was in the Internet temp area

im also getting the 24 hour thing even though i only d/l a 40 mb file about 12 hours ago.

if your using firefox you can delete cookies manually in the options...

Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies > View Cookies > Pick the rapidshare cookie > Delete cookie

@bb - i dunno how to clear cookies manually with IE, you could try browsing to the cookie folders manually (but there's like 20 of em). i guess you'll have to run ccleaner or something...

okay i have used ccleaner and ran renewip. using sygate firewall i get two requests when using renewip. i click yes. i then go to a site and click on the file. it goes to rapidshare. i click free. i then keep getting "This IP (edit) is not allowed to use the free-service anymore today. We detected very extreme downloads." 24 hours will be around another 9 hours. is this a different problem that i have to make sure im on the hour limit instead?

was able to download one file and ran into the 1 hour time limit again. hmmm i delete the cookie and crun the renewip. oh well

did you buy a static IP when you signed up with your isp, if so your scared? ;) i honestly see no reason to have a static IP unless your hosting a site off your PC or something, which is against most ISPs ToS anyways. even then you could just setup a dynamic dns (such as minidns) ;)

if you didn't, try manually resetting you router and modem, there's usually a little white button on the back you have push with a pen or pencil. you could also unplug/disconnect the wires if you can't find the little button...

Not read the whole topic. So excuse my reply if its not relevent.

Your router has a built in modem, correct? If so try rebooting your router. Using windows commands aint gonna make a difference here as LANIPs are irrelevent on the internet. They are also assigned by your router.

Also some IPs provide ONLY a StaticIP, contact them to find out if yours is one of these.

You can "mask" your IP via things like proxies. Make sure there anon/high anon.
