Mr Orus
UK against Facebook, Zuckerberg pay taxes news date:12 ottobre 2012 The social network would have paid only £ 238mila the UK Treasury, thanks to the careful handling of fiscal engineering. The Labour Party asks the Government and request verification. This is the attack thrown from the pages of the British newspaper The Independent to the tax loophole used by many Web giants Specifically, the platform of Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook, would pay only 238mila pounds (280 thousand euro) to the British state, compared to a total income of 175 million pounds, 220 million euro. The trick is now known in the business 2.0. From Apple to Google, the operating companies on the Internet are spending most of its operations - in particular sales from advertising - on Irish soil, which withholding taxes are much lower than in countries like the United Kingdom. A similar situation in Luxembourg, where Amazon has chosen to channel its profits billionaires."It is immoral that these successful companies do not pay taxes in the countries in which they are based and where profit - Independent explained John Mann, Labour MP and member of the parliamentary committee of the Treasury - They draw immense benefits of our Internet infrastructure country, but then do nothing to help.'s like driving a car without paying stamp duty. we can not tolerate it, and I do not see why we should do so in the case of the Web the Treasury is spending a lot of resources for new broadband networks and these companies will benefit enormously.'s just that contribute. "these same members of the Labor Party endeavor to present a specific parliamentary question, asking the Treasury Department to examine the tax declaration of Facebook and possibly take action. The article appeared in the pages of the Independent reported the figures provided by the company Enders Analysis, which quantified the total profits generated by Facebook."Too many companies take advantage of the loopholes available to reduce their tax burden - have echoed the leaders of the British Taxpayers Alliance - Other pay instead due, but the system is too complicated and the public does not understand this. If we want to compete we need to reform the tax system. " No comment from the gigantic platform in blue, which is limited to stress that the information contained in the reports of local activity does not necessarily reflect the overall performance. "So it would be a mistake to draw conclusions on the basis of these reports," said a spokesperson for the social network of Menlo Park. -Original Article: http://punto-informatico.it/3624809/PI/News/uk-contro-facebook-zuckerberg-paghi-tasse.aspx
