Need a little help from all you experts here

Looking for a new firewall. As you probably know Sygate was purchased by Symantec, I went to try Kerio and they also were purchased by Symantec. I need a good firewall, I am using Avast and am happy with it so I tried dl Outpost but I'm getting an error.

No OBDC 3.0 database drivers installed and it directs me to a website to install:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/data/default.aspx

Have tried installing Mdac 2.7 with obdc and also .net framework 1.1

I have tempoarily installed ZA suite but don't like it. I would prefer a standalone firewall, if you can recomend a good one great.

Thanks

I use ZA free, its very easy, just need to set the trusted security to high, and the program control to learning mode and thats it, its doesnt stop any program from not working and wont bother youwith "do you allow xxx to access the net"

It isnt a system hog as well, as some people may know because i have a crap computer, so im mroe aware w=of what i download and install.

:P

@Error, but LnS isn't the easiest to use firewall.... There's better firewalls in terms of packet filtering SPI etc, but they even more hard to use. So i won't mention them. I agree, outpost is a nice comprimise between features, resource usage and ease of use.

@mp3it, see this: http://www.outpostfirewall.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7221
