The massive smartphone's screen grows even larger.

A few details on the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Note have trickled out in Seoul Newspaper, according to Boy Genius Report. The Galaxy Note II's screen will be even larger than the first model at 5.5 inches, and the internals will get a couple of good spec bumps.

The Galaxy Note II will pack a 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos processor, a step up from the first Note's dual-core Exynos, and can have either 16GB or 32GB of storage. The amount of RAM hasn't yet been revealed, but the camera will likely remain the same spec at eight megapixels, rather than the 12 megapixels that had been rumored, states Seoul Newspaper.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will come installed on the phone, though most likely with Samsung's usual heavy dose of TouchWiz UI layered on top. The Note II will be capable of 4G LTE connectivity.

The actual announcement of the Note II is only a couple of days out—it's expected to appear during Samsung's press conference at IFA Berlin on August 29.
