Some of these might be harmful, like the unsolicited installation of malware. When you use Sandboxie to protect your browsing session, it catches all these changes just as the browser is about to apply them into your computer system. Sandboxie does record these changes on behalf of the browser, but it records them in a special isolated folder, called the sandbox. Thus, with Sandboxie, you can browse the Web securely while still keeping all your browser's functionality for active and dynamic content, such as javascript and ActiveX. grouchysmurf Posted August 20, 2012 Share Posted August 20, 2012 Since I have been turned onto sandbox, I now wonder what the hell I did with out it.I thought it would slow me down, it does not.I thought it would use too many resources, it does not.I thought it would make web browsing a pain in the a$$, it does not.What it does do is show me every freakin' thing that wants to worm its' way into my system when I am online.I run every program possible thru sandbox. Remember, alot of stuff that hits your system online is not necessarily a virus,but possible setting changes, maybe search engine preferences, ect. Sandbox keeps all that junk from entering your system,but it still allows you to browse the page you are on with out any hassles.That is my experience.
