Four more Windows 8 RTM ISOs leak; two to web

Yesterday the notorious Russian leaker WZOR confirmed that he also has both x86 and x64 versions of

Windows 8 Enterprise RTM and that they would be leaked to the web, with the "Pro" versions "to be released

soon" as well, both x86 and x64 of that edition would also be offered.

These leaks are different in that they aren't "N" editions that have Media Player stripped out, and are

supposedly "untouched" (bootable) images from Microsoft. The previous Enterprise "N" leak wasn't bootable

and had a key embedded into the installer by the leaker.

Canouna of WinUnleaked also went as far as to confirming the news just over an hour ago on Twitter.

This follows yesterdays news of the Windows Server 2012 leak, and Thursdays news of Windows 8

Enterprise "N" being made available just some 24 hours after Microsoft handed over the bits to OEMs.

Microsoft has had an impressive, unprecedented record with Windows 8 testing, almost no internal builds

leaked online during the test phase, maybe due to variations of the above wallpaper, who knows?

We like to think that the three offerings to the public went some way to making sure internal builds were less

important to leak, or maybe because the test group was that much smaller than that of previous Windows

versions.

For those willing to wait until August 15th (if you have an MSDN account), you can still download the

Release Preview and upgrade to the RTM (apparently) when it becomes available for download; or you can

whet your appetite with this video walk-through of the leaked RTM.

Well, I don't think that folks found it interesting enough to leak it, this time around - FWIW, I read Daz himself evincing total lack of interest in Windows 8 (adding that he might possibly come up with a loader after the OS was final.)

I did comment earlier, that - there's no fever in this release (Windows 7, on the other hand had set us on fire right at pre-beta stage.)

the only way a transiton to the new metro user interface could have or shoulda been done is to do it a lot like windows 95 and dos where you could boot into a dos mode and or windows mode

except this time it be windows mode metro mode

thats what they shoulda done i suspect windows 8 will not be well adopted but it may pave the way for windows 9 as people are exposed to metro and get use to it

@RocketMan & zed: Metro should have never existed in the first place. It's a POS. I'll be honest, it's ugly as f*ck and even if one installs it on mobile, it's going to remain ugly.

Now that it does have metro, they should allowed people to disable it completely, simple. Even a 10 year old retarded kid would have better understanding than Microsoft on Metro.

Yes, that is true, it's only $40 to upgrade from any previous edition of Windows (XP on up) if you do the digital download. They will also sell a physical DVD copy for $70 at retail stores.

To my knowledge, it won't go into effect until the general availability date (October 26th, 2012).

The "promotional upgrade rate" will be valid through January 2013.

JunkInternetMail

It was explained to me that there are 2 core development teams that build Windows Operating Systems...kinda like the 2 teams that did Call of Duty (before the split).

2000 (Team A) then WinME (Team B ) then XP team (Team A) then Vista (Team B ) then Win7 (Team A) and now Win8 (Team B ). I'll try to find some evidence to support this...

It's not as if the most talented people aren't asked to write code but ultimately the pattern is pretty clear...every other release cycle the shittier team is up to bat and no one get excited...

Win8 has quite a few interesting changes but ultimately 7 is so good I know WIN8 will NOT be as mainstream as M$ says it already is.

Apple also is making its OS for retards dumbing it down and removing the guts that hobbyists and developers love to play with...everything is going towards the undereducated tap to see magic that even West Virginians love.

Sad...
