Administrator DKT27 Posted July 23, 2012 Administrator Share Posted July 23, 2012 It's safe to say now that sales of the Samsung Galaxy S III are, well, pretty huge. The Android 4.0 smartphone, which launched in Europe on May 29 and in the US in June has now exceeded the 10 million unit sales mark worldwide in less than two months. Shin Jong-kyun, the president of Samsung's information technology and mobile communication division, is quoted by the Yonhap News Agency as saying that the Galaxy S III has now broken the 10 million unit mark. He was not more specific than than in terms of sales numbers. By contrast, the Galaxy S II took five months to reach the 10 million sales mark after its launch in May 2011. In that case, the sales came mostly from Europe and Asia. The US didn't get the Galaxy S II until September 2011. The sales numbers from the Galaxy S III show that Samsung's Android smartphone franchise continues to increase in popularity. It is perhaps the biggest rival to Apple's iPhone series. Apple is expected to launch the next version of the iPhone sometime later this fall. Samsung is expected to officially announce a new product in its "Galaxy" line-up in a press event on August 15. :view: View: Original Article & Image source. eqagunn
I wish I could own this device. Sadly, I'm poor and I still have my Sony Ericsson k750i I bought in November of 2006.Its price is a bit too much for me to cope with, so I'm aiming for Galaxy S Advance right now. :)
