Pedrito Posted July 19, 2012 Share Posted July 19, 2012 So, I was wondering...since I don't really use Java for anything should I install it or not?The only thing I used it for was JDownloader, but since I use MiPony now, should I keep it or get rid of it?Is it good for anything else? Alanon Posted July 19, 2012 Share Posted July 19, 2012 Nope. I made a decision not to have anything to do with it some time ago and have no problems whatsoever. It is what you noted it to be - a giant hole. I've been running dry for about two years now, and the only important thing I've encountered thus far is one ancient web page. During my browsing I've noted a couple pieces of software, but it turned out (for me at least) that anything made in Java that needs it installed is not worth the trouble, i.e. there are better alternatives.
