Hi,

i'm using this software, but I would like your opinion... Is it better than KIS? What about the virus detection, is it any good?

I couldn't find any tests on it...

Thanks!

Well, atm it doesn't compare to KIS.

But unlike KIS, CIS isn't a resource hog.

And as far as system defense goes, i haven't had problems with malware so far.

Thank you for your reply. I'm running XP on a virtual machine on Mac via Fusion and I'm sure comodo firewall is better, but I'm mostly concerned about the antivirus component.

I feel Kaspersky is better as I can't find tests on the Comodo Internet Security regarding virus protection/detection.

Firewall is not a big deal as my XP is connected via NAT to my Mac, and I have it's firewall up and configured.

Last year I still had a PC and had KIS 7, and indeed it was a terrible resource hog... a piece of *hit if you ask me. They say version 8 (2009) is much improved, but who knows...

cheers!

just dl pc security test http://www.pc-st.com/us/index.htm

if comodo passes them all, or if you get a total of over 75% protection, than there is no need to switch to KIS, or w/e
