nsane.forums
Bill Gates disagrees with a recent assessment that history will remember him and forget Steve Jobs. Speaking to Charlie Rose, Gates said that Jobs did 'phenomenal work' and deserves to be remembered. Early last month we reported that Malcolm Gladwell, a bestselling author, said that people will remember Bill Gates far into the future, thanks to his philanthropic achievements, while Steve Jobs would become an obscure figure for future generations. In his recent interview with Charlie Rose, Gates gave a definitive statement on how he feels about that claim. “Steve Jobs did phenomenal work, both when I partnered with him and when Microsoft competed with him, and that deserves to be remembered,” Gates said, further proof that no matter how much bad blood went down between them, they always maintained a certain amount of mutual respect for one another. Even though Gladwell's statements will probably turn out to be true – Gates' philanthropic achievements are huge – that doesn't mean that Steve Jobs will be left behind in obscurity to all but the generations he touched. And while he might not be remembered in the same way that Gates is, that doesn't make his huge role in the digital revolution any smaller. Without both of them, things might look a lot different today, and that doesn't necessarily mean that they're in competition for how the future will remember them. As far as that goes, Bill couldn't care less about his image. “I don't think anybody does the work they do based on how they think they'll be remembered,” he said. That goes for what he's doing now, as well as what he did at Microsoft. “I think now in my 50s, this way of operating, where I'm backing a lot of these great scientists... is the most natural for me,” he said. That's great, Bill; the world is lucky to have people like you and like Steve Jobs. View: Original Article
Administrator DKT27 Posted July 4, 2012 Administrator Share Posted July 4, 2012 These are men of honour. That jerk, all this life kept assuming that everyone ripped off "his ideas". And this person, forever cool and composed, always respected him. Everyone knows how Jobs was or what he used to do, but still no complains from Bill. Ambrocious
Bill gates IS NOT a man of honor. He wants all of us dead. I posted this before and sadly, no one seemed to watch it. He admits that he wants CO2 emitions down to 0 (which means NOTHING would be alive on Planet Earth pretty much) and went on to say that he can help reduce the worlds population via "New vaccines, Health Care, and reproductive health services" which probably include abortions and "health care" that can make a man sterile and a woman infertile. Before you idolize someone, know who they REALLY are, NOT what they want you to THINK they are CO2, is vital for plant life. If plants have no CO2, they will die. If plant life dies, so do herbivores. If herbivores die, we all die. Like "The Lion King" movie Said...it's a circle of life, and that's a child's movie. A child can understand it, why can't grown adults? Without sufficient CO2, plants cannot photosynthesize and convert inorganic carbon into sugars By the way, I'm not ignoring Microsoft. I enjoy using the computer like any other person does. But his heart intent to depopulate Earth really shows you what he's about on a human level at least. If we all continue to dehumanize one another, we will forget that it's important one day to even care at all. Many people have already bought into the long term media induced lie that animals hold more value that humans. The question was posed to me once: "If you had the choice of either saving a dog from dying or saving a person from dying, what would you choose." I obviously said that I would save the person at which time the people around me were shocked that I chose the value of human life to be above the value of animal life. If I saw YOU drowning in a lake and if I saw a legless dog drowning, I'd save you rather than the dog. Now how does THAT appeal to the whole irrational respect for human life? Ambrocious
I'm not trying to push the issue, but did any of you watch that short 4 minute video? I'm trying to find out who is willfully ignorant.
