As we get closer to the expected RTM announcement in late July, we will slowly learn more about the subtle changes coming to the release build of Windows 8. While we know we will get a new theme with the retail build, we are also now seeing that Windows Explorer will be renamed File Explorer.

The name change is the only noticeable update to this later build but it goes to show that Microsoft is not done tweaking Windows 8. We have heard previously that the final build of Windows 8 will be in the 8500 class, we cannot verify that information.

Microsoft is on the cusp of releasing their most ambitious update to the Windows platform in over a decade. Stick around as the fun is only getting started.

Internet Explorer

File Explorer

Makes sense. However, explorer has been like a trademark, seeing it change is no fun, but not something to worry too much.

I don't see the difference I mean, it's just the name.

More worrying is the actual OS, I just can't decide what to think of it.

Great modern and enticing? Or made-for-tablet-not-desktops, uninspiring and probably overly complicated for the masses. . .?

So many reviews of it and they either love it like a fanboy, or hate it.

I'm gonna wait n see...
