nsane.forums
Three weeks ago Paypal decided to freeze the account of TorGuard, a company that offers VPN and proxy services. According to a Paypal representative the VPN service violated “some agreements” because of TorGuard’s affiliation with BitTorrent. Even after the owner explained that his company was just offering a VPN connection, Paypal didn’t change their decision. However, 48 hours after we made the news public, Paypal has decided that it was all a mistake. TorGuard’s account is restored and thousands of dollars in funds are unfrozen. —- Hello TorGuard.net, Our review is complete and we have restored your account. We appreciate your patience and thank you for your help in making PayPal the safest and most trusted online payment solution. Thanks, PayPal — TorGuard is happy to be back with Paypal, even though they had to be outed before taking action. “I’m amazed at how unprofessionally paypal handled this entire process,” TorGuard’s Jason told TorrentFreak. “Hopefully now we can get down to business as usual!”. — Disclaimer: TorGuard is one of TorrentFreak’s sponsors. Concept
One additional security item related to PayPal, I contacted one of their supervisors 2 years back and they keep all you personnel information on record forever!, even after you close? your account. Since eBay purchased them all your bank account, credit card information is stored indefinitely, even when you quit eBay and PayPal all your financial information is there forever on multiple servers and backups, this would not be a problem except neither PayPal nor eBay report when their servers are phished/hacked and between 400-4000 accounts (full information on you) is downloaded onto somebody's computer illegally. Federal law states that companies who are successfully hacked must report to all their customers that information which was stolen, unfortunately these companies blow off any Federal law they do not like. I have many business owners in my State Capital that will tell you PayPal is successfully phished at a rate of about 1000 accounts a week and they discover this through their online sales, but you won't here that from PayPal and customers should be smart enough to close their accounts, even if you were smart enough to create additional, separate accounts for use on eBay or PayPal, it's just as bad to have it phished and never be informed. All major banks do the same, including Wells Fargo, they just simply and quietly replace the money that was removed from your account/accounts obtained illegally when they discover (after the fact you account was compromised). You will never be told from PayPal, Additionally I was told from the IT security supervisor from Wells Fargo Bank security department to NEVER open any emails from Wells Fargo Bank! This should give you a glimpse into the fact that nobody has your back, ever.................
