Hi, guys! Is there a virus on frontpage or it's a false positive or maybe virus on my computer?

K-Lite is a bloatware. Here you are the explanation.

You could be right, however it could also be that the packer being used is also detected as a FP (false positive).

I use K-lite and as long as you check what your installing it's as good (if not better) than other codec packs. :)

Simply saying it's bloatware is well albeit possibly correct is also not informing of the another reason the pack could be seen as an FP.

Just my drunkered thoughts.

Dodel

It´s not a false positive, ESET is detecting a potentially unwanted application. This version of K-Lite hijacks your browser if you don´t uncheck the appropriate option during install.

K-Lite bloated?

Seriously though, it's a little bloated, hence we have Standard version on frontpage. ;)

Something called Lite would let you select every little thing to install or not... if not it's not Lite. (Only non-packs installations are lite. :showoff: )
