SacredCultivator
I'm good with the inbuilt one, thanks for the reference though... And yeah after a long day away... Tested and still got this weird problem.---EDIT@shought: Actually for the Plug-in'sWhat settings should I change if any?Input: Nullsoft MPEG Audio Decoder 4.6Output: Nullsoft Disk Writer v2.14 Nullsoft DirectSound Output v2.48Although this is specfically Winamp, so even after changing these, might still ahve this problem via other streams.Oh right tried Youtube again, and yups, it stutters there to... Again only when uTorrent is oopen. And I know it isn't due ot my DL/UL rates as I've dl/ul at max before and never had this problemAdding on.. hehe just realized this basically occurs (Stuttering) with any sort of audio, including when someone IM's me.---2nd EDIT:Yeah something is terribly wrong with my system.. As I just ran CCleaner, and just doing that LAGS my system GREATLY, to where the Song gets screwed up sooooo much I can't even bear listen to it... Here's a new ScreenShotAs you can see System Idle Process is at 94 but the CPU Usage is at 75%, and at times 'csrss' does spike to a high CPU Usage. SacredCultivator
Just thought I'd give an update and just use this thread to continue with my problems...The problem, lagging, seems to have come from uTorrent, as for some strange reason there is a HUGE memory leak, and I'll just wait for a new build that hopefullly fixes it.. As mine ranges from 30-70,000.But now I realized that when trying to defrag... My D: (Where all my media files are) doesn't seem to defrag at a great speed in comparison to my C:, so I am thinking there might be some problems with it...I tried using TuneUP Utilities Disk Doctor and did a Thorough Check and it went smoothly for my C: but for my D: it easily cruises through the first 3 stages of the 5, and basically stalls at Stage 4, as it stayed at 0% for well over 30 minutes, which I don't think should take that long. And not hoping for the worse of my D: dieing out soon, are there any progrms taht might be able to help diagnose and possibly fix any problems there may be?As yeah when defragging with UltimateDefrag, going at '2MB' just isn't right, and given it has about 160GB worth of data, it would take me like WEEKS to do a full defrag, as just using 'Fragmented files only' takes a while...Thanks.(Not sure if using an alternative Defragger would do anything)
Donaldo
Hope your D drive/partition has not been formatted as FAT/FAT32 - anything other than NTFS takes eternally loooooooooong to defrag.
SacredCultivator
@Donaldo: I can assure oyu that it is NTFS and not FAT/FAT32
Anteus
Try O & O Defrag it's very good.
SacredCultivator
Before downloading O&O, which of the Methods would you recommend using? And if ther emight be any other customizing tat might need to be done.
Donaldo
@Donaldo: I can assure oyu that it is NTFS and not FAT/FAT32That's heartening to know - BTW, Shought is here, too and since he's more knowledgeable on the Defrag proggie that you use (UltimateDefrag,) hope he'll manage to solve your problem. Now go back to Preferences, General Preferences, Playback, Playback Thread Priority and set it to Highest(if not already there).Does this help?I won't reply before 19:00 again :) Lol, time difference, in two hours ;)
SacredCultivator
Will make those changes, although again, tha lag issue was resolved due to memory leak from uTorrent. And as for my D: Drive, yeah if I try Transferring files from a Flashdrive to it, it is extremely slow in comparison to the C:, at the same time when it is transferring, my system lags. But if I transfer something from flashdrive to my C:, it's all fine
Anteus
For O&O Defrag just follow the guide. The D drive check with HDD Tune, maybe it's crashing.
SacredCultivator
Hmm what guide? Lol I tried the Guides Section no luck. Will try HD Tune. Does it fix or just diagnose?
Anteus
HD Tune only diagnose, and O&O Defrag pop up a guide when you start it.

Hence, I stopped myself from suggesting my favourite, DisKeeper pro Premier. Anyways I too, believe that her problem is not related to file fragmentation. SacredCultivator
His*But anyway, I don't think it is fragmentation as yeah that wouldn't cause a Slow Down when transferring files in from a Flash Drive. And checked with HD Tune and lol... Seems that my D: Drive failed one mpart(OA) Spin Retry Count 100 95 97 0 FailedAnd there's a Yellow One(05) Reallocated Sector Count 98 98 36 85 OkRunning an Error Scan right now whccih i have no idea how long that's going to take. Anteus
Oh well, she said that µtorrent had a majour memory leak. Anyway do you got the latest beta or the stable? Maybe try one yuo haven't :)
SacredCultivator
@Anteus: he*, but anyway, I am using the Current Latest Beta, and other members have reported about it as well.... But again that doesn't really affect my D: as again if no memory leak than everything is fine.
Anteus
Oh sorry but as you see I was writing when you posted :)Anyways, the D drive seems to be a little off maybe backup soon.About the latest µtorrent was it working OK on the stable? SacredCultivator
Yeah I never had any problems/ memory leaks in the past, this is the first time, so probably hte latest build is what did it for me...And sadly yeah I hope my Drive doens't die soon givne that it's still pretty new in comparison to my C:
Anteus
How new, how hot is it, how much used and what brand/model?My Samsung fried almost directly when I got it but had warrenty but still took almost forever to get it.

Anteus
Well I knew mine sounded a little wierd and data corrpution. But lower speed is also a sign.
SacredCultivator
Yeah... No irregular sounds or data corruption. And ran a few tests with Seagate Seatools:SMART = PassShort/Long Drive Self TestShort = FailedLong = 'stalls' as it doesn't seem to movePerform a sequential short/long read on the driveShort Generic = PassLong Generic = Didn't seem to move at allAlso I'll just throw this out there again... With TuneUp Utilities Drive Doctor, Stages 1-3 are fine, but then at Stage 4 it jsut stalls there...And there aren't really any Softwares that claim and actually do fix possible problems with HD's huh? And roughyl 120GB / 270~, Seagate ST3300841AOh right almost forgot, it is about 96Degrees F, C: is 87Your HD temperature is 87 degrees Celsius? I think you miscalculated that, 96 degrees Fahrenheit is 35,5 degrees Celsius ;) at 87 degrees Celsius your HD wouldn't have lasted for two days lol :PYeah... If yes try to move all data to either the primary HD, a portable HD or CDs/DVDs if it's not much... Then reformat your drive and see if that solves the program(don't take the Quick reformat, but the Full one).
