nsane.forums
As with Microsoft's upcoming Office 15, the company's web apps for the Office service will be getting a design overhaul. In addition to the overhaul, Microsoft has created a new logo for Office. While Microsoft's upcoming Office 15 has been getting the majority of news regarding the company's application suite, it's also working on an overhaul of its Office Web Apps. This overhaul will include a new design similar to its Office 15 interface, as well as a new logo for Microsoft's Office software and services as a whole. Earlier today LiveSide received leaked screenshots that display the new interface of the service. According to the screenshots, users will soon be able to opt-in to the new Office Web Apps preview, which will feature the service's new design. Additionally, the service will include a few new features the site states, including the ability to view comments in reading mode; options to increase or decrease font size, justify paragraphs and adjust paragraph spacing in editing mode; and a new page layout menu in the editing mode's ribbon. An example showing the aforementioned changes can be seen below. The images LiveSide obtained are from "an unfinished pre-beta product," according to the site, meaning additional changes will likely be seen in the final version of the Office Web Apps overhaul. The site is unsure of the release schedule for the new service, but notes Office 15's beta is expected to launch sometime this month. New logo A new logo for the upcoming versions of Office and Office Web Apps was also revealed by LiveSide. The logo is similar to Microsoft's recent Metro-inspired Windows 8 logo design in that it features a single color and a strong singular shape. It's unclear who designed the new Office logo; Microsoft's windows 8 logo was designed by the Pentagram design agency.
