irefay Posted September 16, 2008 Share Posted September 16, 2008 A hacker group who identify themselves the 'Greek Security Team' has broken into a Hadron Collider web site and attempted to access the controls for the Compact Muon Solenoid Experiment.The hackers claim they want to hilight security holes, not disrupt the experiment. "We're pulling your pants down because we don't want to see you running around naked looking to hide yourselves when the panic comes," they said.CERN spokesperson James Gillies confirmed that there didn't appear to be any damage beyond a defaced web site.
