Technology
did you use any real time defrag software?that might cause the spikes...i change to UD after got problem with diskeeper.. Diskeeper is a major problem is this case, but I use PerfectDisk which isn't as "live" as DK. I feel it's related to my constant seeding of torrents, but I had excluded my torrent clients from web access protection scanning. Is Perfectdisk any better then any other regular defrag tool..I used perfectdisk, it really messed up my system..Now, I am using Defraggler. dcs18
Notice « Exclusions » do not work on this beta ( yet )It's working here, jofre on my EAV. Are you by any chance referring to the ESS. :) JFTR, the 'Exclusions' option has been renamed to 'Exclusions by paths.' The location has also changed:- from Computer > Exclusions to Computer > Antivirus and antispyware > Exclusions by paths

darko999
I wish ESET could be a bit less heuristics dependent =/That can be changed from the Advanced setup.... :) Yeah, I know that, but I mean... ESET protection is 90%+ based on its heuristics, HIPS on default settings worths nothing, you have to set custom and avanced rules to make it useful, or spend a week using it on learning mode. I hope ESET would make a improvements to HIPS module.
