No sure why, but when I upgraded from 5.0.95 to 5.2.9.1, ESS was slow to load after I restarted my system. Not sure if this is normal or not. Also is it possible to hide the number of scanned objects?

Parental Control as the name says, is only needed if you have someone else using your computer, like a child or a friend or a parent and you want to avoid that those family members or friends change configurations you did on Eset.

If only you use the computer, open Eset, enter Advanced Setup / Parental Control and unmark --»" Integrate into system ".

Also, if only you use the Computer, you do not need a Password to enter Eset - « Advanced Setup ». Go to Eset --» Advanced Setup / User interface / Access setup and unmark --» « Password protect settings ».

If you use a Password do not loose it or you will be in trouble . If you forget the password then you have to uninstall ESET and install again ...

Yes, you can scan what you want . For example, if you choose to scan C:\ , enter Advanced Setup / Computer / Computer scan / scan targets (setup), and here you can choose what you pretend to scan.

In that case you will have to uninstall nod32 using the ESET Uninstaller :

Right click the ESET icon in the SysTray Notification Area > Advanced setup... > Web and email > Email client protection > IMAP, IMAPS > (here you'll find the cause of your grief.)
