USB 3.0

On September 18, 2007, Pat Gelsinger demonstrated USB 3.0 at the Intel Developer Forum. USB 3.0 is targeted at ten times the current bandwidth, reaching roughly 4.8 Gbit/s (600MB/s) by utilizing two additional high-speed differential pairs for "Superspeed" mode, and with the possibility for optical interconnect.[26][27] The USB 3.0 specification was released on August 13, 2008[28] and commercial products are expected to arrive in 2009 or 2010.[29] USB 3.0 is designed to be backwards-compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 and employs more efficient protocols to conserve power.[26]

Well that's what I was looking for :) Thanks.

Hope you didn't mean that I should've just googled it :D Because if you do, then we'd only have to make topics with titles in the future and everyone would just google... Maybe Lite could set something up that every topic would just link to a google search for the title? :dance2:

Off topic: Yeah and while he's on it, maybe make a link to wikipedia. Plus googlemaps to resolve ip adresses. And a popup to read the faq before posting. Oh, and dont forget the disclaimer (we are not responsible to blahblahblah). :frusty: Maybe useful to be web 2 ready. :P For those of you who agree with all this, please read on here.
