Scroll down, enter your first name, last name, email, password and click the Signup button. Make sure that you’re entering a working email address because the verification link and license key code will be sent there.

3. Once you see the message “Westpac Banking Corporation - Special Offer! Thank you - verification email sent.”, check the email address that you’ve entered at step 2. Open the email from PC Tools Account Activation ([email protected]) with the subject “Please verify your PC Tools email address”‏. Click the link that says “To activate your account please click here”.

4. A web page will open containing your license name and license code for Spyware Doctor with AntiVirus, Privacy Guardian and PC Tools Firewall Plus. Note down the license name and license code.

5. Download the software that you want to install.

But about that. In order to clear current registry info from system. PC Tools provides this solution:

To reset your license code in Spyware Doctor 5.

1. Save the following file, ArmAccess.dll into C:\Windows\System32\ http://support.pctools.com/manager/downloa...e=ArmAccess.dll

2. Save the following file, SpywareDoctorReset.exe to your Desktop http://support.pctools.com/manager/downloa...DoctorReset.exe

3. Double-click on the SpywareDoctorReset.exe file that was downloaded in step 2.

4. Restart Your PC

5. Open Spyware Doctor and click on 'Register' to enter your new license details. Kind Regards, Technical Support Team

Method works for version 6 also.

Well, either way I REALLY suggest you dump NOD32, although it *was* one of the best but not anymore, now it's has a rather low accuracy compared to other products, I suggest you get Avira AntiVir, they offer a FREE version.

Here's a quick detection rate info (the higher the better):

Avira AntiVir: 99.42% :rockon:

NOD32: 88.32% :injured:

I use AntiVir for my virus protection and it seems to be the best. I am trying Privacy Tools to see what it is like. I also have Widow Washer on my computer which is an awesome program...I use webroot spyware sweeper and their firewall..I might try the other one..Thanks for the post...Tim

Anyways, here's the latest test I could find, it dates to March 2008.

It seems that thing *did* change, NOD32 is better in this test (but still lower than Avira AntiVir), and surprisingly Avast! has improved significantly!

Spyware Doctor is leaps and bounds better than A-Squared. I think I know why you mentioned A-Squared though: They recently gave a free license code as well (I got it, too... hehe).

I do not play favorites when it comes to anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-malware, and other such programs. I use what is the best out there, based on research by major corporations and my own. Spyware Doctor is among the top three anti-spyware programs and have been for the last two or three years, as stated by many, many studies (Spy Sweeper and SUPERAntiSpyware are the other tops). A-Squared is a decent anti-spyware program, but it's nothing special.
