rudrax Posted March 31, 2012 Share Posted March 31, 2012 For the longest time people have speculated on what it would be like for Facebook to enter the search business, and how its intimate knowledge of what you ate last night and who knows about it will help bring up much more relevant results to you personally. Given that Google has taken the same approach with Search + Your World, it's hard to argue against the idea. And now, BusinessWeek has some very interesting details that once again sparked the "Facebook Search" speculation into high gear. Facebook is not building a search engine to take on Google. Most likely, it never will, it doesn't have to and it probably won't be able to do a great job at it, just look at Bing. However, Facebook does have Google Wave creator Lars Rasmussen working with about two dozen employees on improving Facebook search.
