Driver x64 x86

Guys, I have a 32 bit win 7 notebook from sony..sony has updated their drivers for x64 but not for the x86..I want to update my webcam driver (Arcsoft webcam companion) from v3 to v4..But v4 is available only in x64..Now I wanna know is, If I download and install the v4 x64 driver in my x86 system, will it be compatible?

If not, please add some solution for this.

Don't even bother downloading the x64. It's not possible for it to be installed on a x86 system.

If not, please add some solution for this.

Wait for some more time. Most probably the x86 bit will be released, too.

Did you try to download from the official source?

official source drivers are not supported in vaio thing..It was in sony..They updated the webcam driver for 64 bit but not for the 32 bit..

And, plz quote my post when you reply because I am not getting notifications for the thread I created and followed. If I follow a thread created by other, then I get notifications.

official source drivers are not supported in vaio thing..It was in sony..They updated the webcam driver for 64 bit but not for the 32 bit.. And, plz quote my post when you reply because I am not getting notifications for the thread I created and followed. If I follow a thread created by other, then I get notifications.

Bro, do you really need driver to be updated...Then wait for the official driver to be available. Updating driver is serious business, updating wrong way can really mess up things...But I will suggest if your hardware running smoothly then maybe you don't to update...

I know the severity but when you see your friends are up-to-date, in this case, it doesn't feel good to remain outdated..I don't know what kind of stupid thinking leads some manufacturer to OEM protect the drivers..Its really sh*tty :wtf:

I can wait couple of month but not couple of years..sony updates drivers but by that time it already become outdated..
