nightwolf Posted March 21, 2012 Share Posted March 21, 2012 This is how you can Enable or Disable powering off your usb devices upon removing (For Windows 7 Usage) 1- Open Notepad 2- Copy and paste the following into notepad Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\usbhub\hubg] "DisableOnSoftRemove"=dword:00000001 3- Save it as Enable.reg (you can name it anything as long as the extension is .reg) 4- Open Notepad again 5- Copy and paste the following into notepad Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\usbhub\hubg] "DisableOnSoftRemove"=dword:00000000 6- Save it as Disable.reg (you can name it anything as long as the extension is .reg) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use enable.reg to enable powering off your usb devices upon removing and use disable.reg if you want to disable powering off usb devices upon removing ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Download Enable.reg and Disable.reg using these links: For enable.reg Site: http://www.mediafire.com Sharecode: /?oyabu82zoxzjq51 [?] For disable.reg Site: http://www.mediafire.com Sharecode: /?0c248k225chq136 [?] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
