Piracy Is The New Radio, Says Neil Young

Neil Young has been making music for nearly 50 years, so we have to assume that he’s an expert at the topic.

Speaking at D: Dive into Media, Young discusses the state of the digital music business.

While the singer is concerned about the fact that many people share low quality MP3′s, he’s not falling for the argument that piracy is killing music.

“It doesn’t affect me because I look at the internet as the new radio. I look at the radio as gone. [...] Piracy is the new radio. That’s how music gets around. [...] That’s the radio. If you really want to hear it, let’s make it available, let them hear it, let them hear the 95 percent of it.”

The comparison to the radio is interesting as that has been one of the biggest promotional tools of the music industry in recent history.

But it wasn’t that loved at the beginning of last century.

In the 1920s the music industry blamed broadcast radio for their woes, as revenue dropped during the great depression.

Times haven’t changed much.

History repeats it's self, stupid people in power continue to make stupid choices about progression and overall goodness. The world elite DO NOT THINK LIKE WE DO. They see the world as a toy. They want to control every aspect of it. They have already bought nearly every avenue of society; Government, Financial, Military, Churches (to some extent), Education, Media, Entertainment, Pharmaceutical (to a LARGE extent), Sports etc, Agricultural (to an increasing extent).

Once you have power and authority over these structures, which not only include the United States by they way, what makes you happy? What makes you smile? What makes you satisfied? The answer: complete control over people and their free will. Although they have not yet achieved utter obedience from the people on this planet yet, they are seeking new methods of control via all of the non lethal avenues that they can BEFORE they start getting too desperate.

You will know when they get too desperate when these things start happening:

1 ) Mass censorship will begin and only get worse.

2 ) Propaganda will be blaring out daily via TV and Internet in both forms of news AND entertainment (entertainment bypasses your normal "argumentative" thought process that naturally occurs during a debate because entertainment is "FUN" and therefore is not noticed as though it were a threat to your intellectual views on subjects).

3 ) Military units will slowly begin to patrol your streets and communities. At first there will be a few put in place in different cities to get the public used to them. Excuses such as "DUI checkpoints" will be setup which the military will conduct and oversee.

4 ) House inspections will be conducted to make sure that you are not a terrorist or threat.

5 ) Anyone who owns a gun will be asked to bring their weapons into a local authorized point where your guns will be confiscated.

6 ) Anyone who KEEPS their guns and is later on found with guns will be sent to jail or prison right away or if you get lucky, get a huge fine.

7 ) More and more military will be enforcing new laws, rules, statutes which will constrict and restrain the rights that are left of the people to the last drop.

8 ) Minority groups that are considered threats will be rounded up and placed into internment camps, FEMA camps, or other "lock up" holding facilities (modern day concentration camps).

9 ) Wars will become deeply intense; limited nuclear exchange will probably happen (God help us all).

10 ) The country in which was most guilty for starting this tyranny will be held responsible and ALL the people inside that country will suffer GREAT losses.

11 ) The country that previously help the dictatorship will forever have a stain upon it's name; being forever known as a generally "bad" place.

12 ) History starts over and later on, 75 to 80 years later it repeats it's self. (Research "The Forth Turning")

NOTE: Not all of the above will happen at the same time, however it may happen in the order in which I presented with a time allowance of 3 - 6 months to even a year apart or longer. Sometimes however, more happens in a single day than in a whole year.
