A newly released infographic shows how Microsoft chairman Bill Gates is using his wealth to help millions of people all over the world and could inspire others to do the same.

Microsoft chairman Bill Gates left his day-to-day job at Microsoft to help run the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Gates' goal is to give away most of his accumulated wealth to others in need. Now a new infographic released by the Frugal Dad web site shows exactly how much Bill Gates might be doing to save the world.

The infograghic shows that Gates may have saved as much as 5,812,000 people via his efforts to give vaccinations and better health care to people, especially children all over the world. The majority of people have been helped by Gates to fight Hepatitis B but many others have been treated for measles, whooping cough, yellow fever and more. It's estimated that by 2019, Gates' money and efforts will have saved 7.6 million children under the age of five.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has so far given $28 billion out. That's 48 percent of Gates' net worth. Gates has asked for other wealthy Americans to give at least half of their total net worth to needy causes. People like George Lucas, Mark Zuckerberg and Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen have already pledged to join Gates in that kind of movement.
