If there was an award for worst delivery in the world, this guy might just win it.

'Here is a video of my monitor being "delivered",' a YouTube user wrote to describe surveillance footage taken outside a gated residence.

What followed was a hilariously sad clip of a FedEx delivery man chucking a computer monitor over a fence before returning to his van.

A spokeswoman for the package delivery company says company executives were 'shocked' when they saw the video and are working to track down the star of the surveillance film.

The 21-second clip, uploaded to YouTube by user goobie55 on Monday night, shows the delivery man taking the package from the back of a FedEx-branded van parked outside of the home's front lawn.

Taking the package out, he walks alongside an iron gate enclosing the residence and past what appears to be a security keypad that might buzz him in.

Without missing a beat, its fragile contents are tossed onto a driveway on the other side of the gate.

Peering over his shoulder, the unidentified male continues his march back to the van - and, presumably, his next delivery.

That's that! The man returns to his van, peering over his shoulder before he get back behind the wheel, presumable to his next 'delivery'

'The sad part is that I was home at the time with the front door wide open. All he would have had to do was ring the bell on the gate,' the YouTube user who uploaded the clip wrote in the description.

'Now I have to return my monitor since it is broken.'

Within hours of the footage being uploaded, several others shared similar horror stories.

One commenter, claiming to be a former FedEx employee, attempted to explain - suggesting the package might have been in pieces long before the botched delivery.

'I can tell you that that incident pails in comparison to the way they [sic] packages are handled behind closed doors,' the user wrote.

'All of us here at FedEx have seen the video and quite frankly we were shocked,' said Shea Leordeanu, a company spokeswoman.

The company does not know who the package carrier is yet, but is working to track him down an will find him 'by the end of the day.'

The customer who posted the video has not contacted the company yet, Ms Leordeanu said. However, FedEx officials asked the person to come forward so they could properly apologize.

The company spokeswoman would not say what would become of the employee once company officials find him, but added: 'This won't be his best day.'

This is not the worst delivery guy, but he is an asshole. :rant: I think the board was shocked because the dude was caught with video footage.

Of course that they're shocked because he was caught. All these big companies are like the Mafia. Had the video not been so persuasive, they'd have probably tried to say "He's not one of ours." <_<

This way, however, the little guy's gonna take all the heat and be treated like a lone case, and not what it truly is - a system error inside a big monopoly holding corporation with lapsed standards for customer care. :angry:

And lastly, they broke the man's monitor! How's a man to play his Skyrim in this unfair world? :P

I'm pretty sure this guy will get crucified by Fedex as part of their damage control process, but I think this guy deserved it for doing a poor job(like you said, he broke the man's monitor !)

I have had both great and bad experiences with both UPS and Fedex here in the US. I m sure they all have done something similar to what this guy did, just didn't get caught on cam.
