Administrator DKT27 Posted December 2, 2011 Administrator Share Posted December 2, 2011 Google today has pushed out an all new YouTube redesign to all users, with parts based on the experimental “Cosmic Panda” design that was unveiled in July. Video pages, the homepage and user Channels have all seen an upgrade today, also pulling some style features from Google’s other web products.The YouTube homepage has seen a revamp with social integration and a brand new design. When you are logged in you’ll see all the new videos from your subscriptions in a list, with customization features on the left. You can filter the videos based on the selectors on the left, along with customizing your own channel, connecting with Facebook and Google+ to share videos and viewing suggested channels or popular YouTube videos.Channel pages themselves have also seen an upgrade. Videos from the user are much more prominent with large thumbnails, information about the Channel is to the left and you can filter between several views thanks to the tabs along the top. The new channel design is opt-in for the channel creators, so you may discover many users still using the old style.Finally, the video pages have seen a slight revamp. While button placements are mostly the same, the grey theme has been pushed throughout the design. More features from the new design are detailed below: So far the response from YouTube users on the new design has been negative, as you usually expect when anything changes on a website. The video above has already seen 3,300 dislikes compared to just 1,000 likes (at the time of writing), and comments on the style include...Looks terribleYou didn't listen to a single person that complained about the design.I hate you…and more over the top…MY LIFE IS RUINED!!!!!!! Extremely helpful. :)Also, hearing that lots of editors too are not liking the change, some feel let down due to the big rumors spreading previously, and some hating the design.
