Maxhedroom Posted November 18, 2011 Share Posted November 18, 2011 Just came across this release and it's very tempting....McAfee VirusScan Enterprise v8 80 Patch1 Retail-ZWTI know McAfee's main thing are enterprise/corporate products and services and web security. Have never tried McAfee Home apps much less enterprise. I know it's probably a bit soon to say if MS can improve upon it now they own them. Any opinions out there? ck_kent Posted November 18, 2011 Share Posted November 18, 2011 Former user of McAfee Enterprise here, around 3-4 yrs. ago, until I decided and recommended to switch to ESET. Major things I don't like about McAfee is it's a system hog. It just put the computers into a crawl, and the virus definition is freakin' huge. At the moment their current DAT file (6533xdat.exe) is 123.84MB! The only plus side I could think of is you can download their DAT file for free so you could update it offline.I was actually a long-time user of McAfee during the DOS days. :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
