A security consultant based in New Zealand has released a tool that can unlock Windows computers in seconds without the need for a password.

Adam Boileau first demonstrated the hack, which affects Windows XP computers but has not yet been tested with Windows Vista, at a security conference in Sydney in 2006, but Microsoft has yet to develop a fix.

Hmmm, firewire port so physical access needed... indeed not truly a vulnerability... but another reason beside many other to NOT leave anyone alone with your computer...

lol, there are several boot cdroms out there that will reset the windows password, such as Windows_Key_Enterprise_7.9.2141.iso, it takes about 2 mins and you have full admin access, so this tool is obsolete.

I disagree, reseting windows password will reveal that you hacked into a PC while unlocking it wont unless you got caught in action.

I am going to test this soon
