Samurai Posted July 29, 2005 Share Posted July 29, 2005 No individual is the best, which is why we all use multiple apps...I use Ad-Aware & Spybot :PNot too keen on MS Anti-Spyware. Even though I choose to switch off the "system tray icon" it still continues to ask me. Loads of niggling things really, but maybe it's just me. Administrator Lite Posted July 29, 2005 Administrator Share Posted July 29, 2005 Counterspy prolly has the best detection ratios.Then giant/MS AS.Then spysweeper.But remember detection ratios arent everything.Some anti-virus apps and some anti-trojan apps (namely ewido and a-squared), also have good detection ratios of spy/adware, aswell as there specialist fields. Hello! perhaps I recommend "Spywareblaster" to you, and "Sin Espias", this I complete do not know it, but he is the best one and but fast, she goes by version 6.5 (in spanish), in ingles I believe that "No Spy", and not so that version wrath... greetings! SirMango Posted July 29, 2005 Share Posted July 29, 2005 I use Aluria AntiSpyware (very good) and MS AntiSpyware for scanning (Aluria usually catches everything before MS anyway) and Spybot and SpywareBlaster for some protection.Used to also scan with CA eTrust PestPatrol 5, SpySweeper 3 and Ad-aware SE Pro but PestPatrol's updates were like 5 mb each time and Ad-A's and SpySweeper's scans usually didn't pick anythng up after MS's scan :PAlso I didn't like using Ad-A and SpySweeper cuz they used too much CPU Ressource on my comp :wacko: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
