Download From Youtube w/o Software

since there was the 3 day rollback this tut was erased so i'm posting it again

ok so this tut will show you how to dl from youtube without the need of any dl programs or grabbers

1. Just go to youtube and watch the video that you wanna dl (I'll be using "Ventrilo Harassment Returns")

2. Look at the video's address (in my case it's:)

http://youtube.com/watch?v=b1G1HRJ5Fd0

3. Now you have to change the line "/watch?v=" to "/v/" (EX:)

4. After you change the line and hit enter you will be taken to another window...and you will notice that the address has changed again (my ex:)

5. Now to download the video you must change the line "jp.swf" to "get_video" (EX:)

After you download it just rename it to whatever you want and don't forget to add the extension ".flv"

couldnt we just download it with a fiefox extension.there are several,as i recall.also quicktime has one.

or just let it load completely, search for the file in ur browser's cache and rename it to whatever.flv.. :sneaky:

Intriguing, yet I find one simple solution: http://www.keepvid.com ; No software, direct download without posting the site's source code (ugh I hate doing that). Much easier to me :)

-Rightclick your bookmarks toolbar @ firefox

-Make a new bookmark

-Name it Youtube to MP4 or anything else

-Put this in the "Location":

-Go to youtube and test it :D
