In order to provoke a new wave from the launch of Service Pack 1, Microsoft will reduce prices of Windows Vista, at least for the updated versions sold in cans and publishing Integral. As a first step, this reduction will only be visible in the United States before being passed later on the rest of the world, particularly in Europe.

Here are the expected changes:

  • Integral editions: 399 to $ 319
  • Publishing full upgrade from XP: from 259 to 219 dollars
  • Home Premium Edition in upgrading from XP: 159 to $ 129

A new operation enticement to attract consumers and decide to migrate from Windows XP. This will be a priori the only target almost since the sales of boxes represent a minority of full volume, which includes licenses passed by the OEM infinitely more numerous.
