The trial will be used to assess the impact on our forums and server. The trial may end at any time and may either be rolled out permanently or removed.A Shoutbox is a chat-like function for the forums. It should be used in addition to the existing forums, not as a replacement for them. Old shouts will be removed after a short period of time.During the trial period feedback is essential, as it may effect our thoughts on the future of the system (please make a post in this topic if you have any feedback). Maybe it can help decrease server load for the forumThat would require another server + it's not designed to work like that ;)But as I said we can look into it later, currently the frontpage and forums are still hosted on the same server, so it's not going to happen until that's over (which is going to be pretty soon, probably).
