AlienForce1
Today, October 26, Avira detected his own file aescript.dll as infected with TR/Spy.463227. False alarm has been corrected in the update: 7.11.16.146. All who have seen this false detection are asked to update signatures and will solve the problem. Are especially affected users free version is not automatically updated only once a day.http://forum.avira.c...threadID=137969http://www.facebook.com/avira?sk=wallIt is a false shameful enough for a company well known and still look bright side: not detected critical system files :P
AlienForce1
I have a dilemma : Avira detects herself as malware and moves the files to quarantine . After which no longer detects herself because it no longer exists . Is there and another "then" ? :lmao:
Tweety.Abd
ROFL! This is crazy :P Is there any AV out there who had no major false positive? I remember McAfee deleting svchost.exe, and now this :P I wonder if there are other AVs who did detect false positive

RadioActive
Avira is a piece ofActually, it's not. Avira is a solid product but it's major drawback is its large number of false-positives. False-positives are problematic but nowhere as near as critical as false-negatives!So, regardless of whether you like the product or not I suggest you get your facts straight before you bash it, just my 2 cents.
