Internet Explorer 8 will be the next major version of Microsoft’s browser. This version will be extremely important. Firstly, because version 7 is still out on October 18, 2006 and that the Web is evolving rapidly, then, because in force to speak of compliance with standards, many have come to expect the firm around the corner.

Microsoft said recently, in fact, Internet Explorer 8 successfully passed the Acid2 test, but it does in fact under certain conditions, notably if the test itself is laden with a few markers that allow Internet Explorer to interpret certain technologies correctly. In absolute terms, the rendering engine, at least one of them, correctly recognizes the full standards used.

During the conference MIX 08, which will be held from 5 to 7 March, a demonstration of the future browser will be made. That Dean Hachamovitch, who heads the division Internet Explorer, which will introduce this pre - and especially some new features.

It is not yet known whether Microsoft has recast its product interface, but the upheaval introduced with version 7 (yes, the appearance of tabs in the World Microsoft!) Those developers may prefer not to disturb too new users.

We will thus have more information about Internet Explorer 8 in less than a month. It would be interesting to see the outcome of a battle between the browsers in the field of standards and recommendations of the W3C.
