jalaffa
<img src="http://www.nsanedown.com/images/logos/java.png" class="logo" alt="Java" title="Java" />The Java Runtime Environment (JRE) provides the libraries, the Java Virtual Machine, and other components to run applets and applications written in the Java programming language. In addition, two key deployment technologies are part of the JRE: Java Plug-in, which enables applets to run in popular browsers; and Java Web Start, which deploys standalone applications over a network. Users should install the 32-bit version if they are using 32-bit browsers. If you use both 32-bit and 64-bit browser interchangeably, you need a Java Plug-in for each browser. Hence you will need to install both 32-bit and 64-bit Java respectively. Thanks to <span style="color: red;">thylacine</span> for the update.<a href="http://www.nsanedown.com/?request=19758519" target="_blank">Download</a>

Did I miss something? :PFrom Sun Java website :Skipped Version Number-------------------------------Release Java SE 6u29 follows release Java SE 6u27. There is no publicly available Java SE 6u28 release. Oracle used release version 6u28 for an internal build, which was not necessary once the fixes delivered on Java SE 6u29 were released. geko
Hi I have a question, maybe someone can help. In this page http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre-7u1-download-513652.html there are three options to download windows x86. I don't want the online option, I want the offline option to update from 7.0 to 7.1.What is the one which doesn't say if its offline or online? The important thing, I supose, is that I just want to update not install it new.Thanks. alex5723
Hi,I have a problem with loading java applets in Chrome 16 beta, Firefox 8 and IE9.I use Windows 64 bit and installed jre-7u1-windows-x64.exe. JRE didn't install java plugin in those browsers.I have re-installed JRE after updating to Firefox 8, but still no java plugin.the notice in Chrome regarding missing plugin redirect to download JRE 6 update 29 from java.com.Should I uninstall JRE 7 and install JRE 6 instead ?alexp.s the problem surfaced running Secunia Software Inspector which downloads a java applet : http://secunia.com/software_inspector/
Administrator DKT27 Posted November 9, 2011 Administrator Share Posted November 9, 2011 Because x64 is only for 64-bit browsers, not 64-bit Windows. Except IE, all normal browsers are only available in 32-bit version, even for 64-bit OS. In other words, install 32-bit version of Java in addition to 64-bit. ;)I'll recommend using Java 6.x over Java 7. :)
