It official, is very awaited Windows Vista Service Pack 1, more commonly named Vista SP1, will manage in the weeks to come, and not today, as some predicted it. Microsoft indeed announced this morning officially that the diffusion of SP1 of Vista, as well as Windows Server 2008, finally started. Vista SP1 will be thus available in all the computers at the beginning of March, while Windows Server 2008 will leave on March 1 precisely.

As for their downloadable version, the representatives of Microsoft France announced to us that “the SP1 of Vista will be available in remote loading Web within 2 weeks for the current users of Vista”. Windows Server 2008 for its part will be downloadable end February by the “current customers under license agreement in volume and holders of the Software Insurance or an Enterprise agreement”.

Available initially in English, French, Spanish, German and Japanese, Vista SP1 will support then 36 other languages a few weeks later.

A greater stability and safety are awaited, as well as a marked improvement of the performances. These improvements were listed in one of our current events of last December.
