Next-gen NUC 12 could pack Intel's very own discrete GPU (DG2) with up to 16GB VRAM

Intel only recently launched the NUC 11 Extreme called "Beast Canyon" with 11th gen Tiger Lake processors and it looks like we already are getting leaks related to the next generation hardware. And if the leak today is accurate, then the upcoming NUC 12 would be really special as it could actually feature Intel's own high-end Xe HPG discrete graphics.

The next-gen NUC will apparently be called the NUC 12 Enthusiast and an alleged picture of it with its specifications has leaked on Weibo.

As mentioned above, the highlight of this leak is the possibility of the NUC 12 having Intel's own Xe HPG based discrete GPU (DG2). In fact, according to this image, there will be the option to choose between three separate graphics SKUs that will carry 16GB, 12GB, and 8GB VRAM. So, the SKU1 with the 512 Execution Units (EUs) must be on offer here. We aren't really sure about the two other variants since the memory capacities of those haven't been confirmed yet. So those could be among the rest of DG2 models except SKU5 since it has 4GB VRAM.

Now you may be wondering that these GPUs could well be AMD's RX 6000 series GPUs since the VRAM amounts match that of Navi 21, Navi 22, and Navi 23. A tiny detail on this alleged next-gen NUC 12 however rules that out. Apparently, the NUC will feature DisplayPort 2.0 option which is absent on Navi cards as well as Nvidia GeForce RTX 3000 series cards as well.

CPU wise the NUC 12 will likely feature some form of Intel's next-gen Alder Lake-P mobile processors. In terms of system memory, it seems like there is no change from this year.
