A couple of days ago, Windows 11 out-of-the-box experience (OOBE) customization tool, Flyoobe, received version 1.3, adding default browser configurations, DPI handling, a redesigned header pane, and more. Now, within a relatively short span of time, Flyoobe has netted version 1.4, introducing even more new features.

A relatively basic, but notable change this time around is that the executable file has been renamed to flyo.exe. In addition, the developer has introduced a new helper tool in the form of spot.exe. This is based on the developer's own annoyances with trying to find the right tools during Windows 11's setup. Spot works around this by automatically surfacing helpful tools and locations, and can be triggered by clicking the search icon on the top-right corner.

Importantly, Flyoobe has also added support for enrollment of Windows 10 extended security updates (ESU) for consumers. This can be done with or without a Microsoft account through an integration with another bypass script specifically designed to get consumer ESUs. This is very useful for customers who want to stick with Windows 10, with the end-of-life (EoL) deadline looming. Lastly, the UI has received some improvements and the OOBE views have refactored so that they are cleaner and easier to maintain.

For those interested in this stream, keep in mind that Flyoobe is an evolution of Flyby11, a tool that was initially designed for unsupported PCs to bypass Windows 11's system requirements. Flyoobe has a renewed focus on improving the Windows 11 OOBE, enabling customers to "debloat" the OS by only installing software that they want.

Although Flyby11 is still available as a separate release via GitHub, the developer plans to merge both tools in a single project and then refactor it. For the time being, you can download Flyoobe through our dedicated Software section here if you trust the developer. Do keep in mind that modifying a Windows image carries its own set of risks, so only use the utility if you accept those risks.
