Flyoobe is a very popular third-party Windows 11 customization tool that began life as Flyby11, with the main selling point being that it allowed PCs unsupported by Windows 11 to bypass system requirements of the OS, enabling them to upgrade. Since then, the app has pivoted to focus on customizing the out-of-the-box experience (OOBE) in Windows, allowing users to "debloat" the OS. The utility received version 1.2 less than a week ago with a couple of improvements, and today, it has received version 1.3, which is a fairly significant upgrade.

For starters, the OOBE has been revamped to allow users to set the default browser right after installation. Something that will also be appreciated by customers is the ability to download third-party browsers, which opens up a lot of doors. Similarly, the personalization OOBE view also includes more options, such as aligning the Windows taskbar to the left or the center.

In addition, the UI has been enhanced, DPI handling has been improved, bugs have been squashed, and the header pane has been redesigned a bit to clearly indicate which OOBE view is currently active. In the same vein, the Setup / Finalization extension view has also been "optimized and extended at its core", but details are scarce.

Finally, it's worth highlighting that while the classic Flyby11 tool is still available as a separate release, the developer plans to merge both Flyby11 and Flyoobe into a single project that will later be refactored. The final source code will be released once the merge effort has reached completion.

In the meantime, you can download Flyoobe through our dedicated Software section here if you trust the developer. Do keep in mind that modifying a Windows image carries its own set of risks, so only use the utility if you accept those risks.
