dumble
Well i tried alot of clients, and emule is for me the best. OFcourse you can download with newsgroups (the best and fastest way), but then you have to pay for the newsserver...Limewire totaly sucks!,, sorry to say, but it does... You can't download movies with limewire becaus if you search for them you get porno .. There's olso alot of spyware involved with limewire..If you search with emule for movies it is possible that you get porno, but there are so-called ed2k-forums (like sharethefiles.com) where you can click the ed2k-link of a movie and than it import it into your downloads in emule... So then you always know what you download... And on the forum they post screenshots so you can oslo see what quality you download...@Zeppos; i suggest you register and login on sharethefiles.com and see what they have to offer, believe me you don't need 2 seconds to make up your mind :)And eastern promises , ofcourse they have it there , it's a great movie btw greetz.>dumblePS. sorry for my english
shought
I would recommend using uTorrent, have very good experiences with it. It´s fast(if properly configured, use uTorrent's speedguide) and extremely lightweight. Limewire is good for music, music video's and some other relatively small files, but not for movies. If somethings doesn't look alright always check the comments and be suspicious. However there are not much viruses on torrents they might 'sneak in'. uTorrent on itself is safe of course. Haven't tried the plugin you mentioned, knew it was there but just never took to it. About the guys preaching for eDonkey/eMule, i haven't got any good experience with those. They fail to connect for me and as far as i know there are no dedicated sites for those files(might be wrong though). All i know is uTorrent gets to the max of my connection speed, so that'll do for me. :D
Jman123
It's best to use torrents, p2p is much slower plus theres a good chance of getting viruses, spyware, etc. I'd only use Limewire if I'm looking for singles instead of albums.

I use LimeWire but I see that it can handle torrent downloads too ... so please explain :)
vin3e
Torrents download from multiple verified sources whereas P2P downloads from a single user. If that user had malicious intent to infect people then he could appropriately name all his viruses into files that are regularly downloaded.Torrents download from several people depending on the amount of seeds (People who have finished downloading and are only uploading) This way the file you are downloading carries less risk. I dont know how to fully explain it. But that is the jist. Its better to rely on multiple sources than just one.

I dont know how to fully explain it. But that is the jist. Its better to rely on multiple sources than just one.@vin3e limewire uses multiple sources too and sometimes torrents use just one seed(rarity), the fact is that there are much more malicious files on Limewire than on torrents. And there is no difference between P2P and Limewire, because Limewire and torrents are both a way of file sharing(P2P).@zeppos the difference? A torrent is a way of P2P(Peer to peer). Limewire is also a P2P application. The difference between LIMEWIRE and torrents is explainable but this does take some knowledge on how torrents work from your side. The main difference is that when you download with Limewire you download the file immediately and with torrents u download a .torrent file first which has the information for your torrent client which will download the actual file for you.About using torrents with Limewire, i do not recommend that. I never tried it myself, but i'm pretty sure that uTorrent does a better job. uTorrent is more lightweight and you're able to configure it better then you're able to configure Limewire for torrents. Using Limewire for singles, that's a good idea(like Jman123 said) and using torrents for albums works just fine. So i suggest you try downloading uTorrent(you can find it here) and using it with TPB(www.thepiratebay.org) or Isohunt(TPB is a tracker with a main site, Isohunt indexes a lot of other torrent site but doesn't have comments).About the movie you're looking for, it seems that different languages are spoken. So i could do a search for you and find what you want but you'll have to tell me, do you want hard-coded subs(already on the movie, can't be removed(easily)), subtitles in a file with it(which you can add to the movie using Winavi or Virtualdub) or no subtitles at all?ps. if you noticed i did edit this post 3 times yes:P

Torrent?? If you use emule there is a change you get viruses if you download the wrong stuff; The same if you use utorrent and you download the wrong torrents..But you have ed2k-forums where you can find ed2k-links to reliable files, and i know for sure that the ed2k-forums are more reliable then torrent-forums or sites (demonoid was an exeption, but it's down' )When you install emule, all you have to do is open 2 ports (TCP10003 / UDP10010) in you're router/fw ..And emule is not fast, but then it is easy to use and all the files you need are posted on 1 site (sharethefiles.com) .. > there are more sites, but stf is the biggest ..I never shut down my computer, all i do is a click a few movies/apps/music and then i put emule on the background and i look the next day on my computer and see that all the files are 100% ... And a few times i look at STF and see if there are some new movies are posted, and then download them... And the advantage of ed2k-forums is that the specs of the movies/apps/music are posted.. and they post screenshot so you can see the quality.. so you always now you have the good files! And btw, when you download with emule you can use ip-filters. they filter bad-ip's and are regulary updated ...

Every way of file sharing has viruses because of stupid bastards putting them there, but if you see an 200 KB file that's supposed to be a movie i guess you will get suspicious won't you.:P What you say about ED2K is true, you mentioned the speeds not being very good(don't say they're bad either) and the reliability of the movies because posted on a forum with screen shots and specs. But with many good movies on TPB people there's also uploaded screen shots, and it's a fact that more people use torrents than ED2K(that's an explanation for the speed difference). But zeppos it's up to yourself, just try both and see which one you like the most. Just be sure you configure them both right, else you won't have a good idea of both(in speed).
