Download a MSDN/Technet Windows 7 SP1 copy, torrents work best. This way you can verify hashes with the official Microsoft site, also you can Force Recheck your download if there's a problem.

Use it as a trial (30 days, possible to extend to 120 by rearming), until you decide how you want to activate it.

I see you saying your "disk is corrupt". If your drive is failing, do not expect your downloads to work correctly.

It could very well be errors in the files uploaded to that site.

I would strongly recommend to use the legit direct download links for it provided by madeinheaven in this topic instead. They are tested working.

Official Windows 7 SP1 Integrated Direct Download

Edit: That being said - testing the first rar file downloaded did not give any errors here. You did provide the password for extraction?

Hi, Try to open the first rar archive> enter the Password > clic on 'Extract To" then a window will appear, clic on "keep broken files" and OK

It may works

if not use 7-zip to Extract

Hi bigjohn

Try this:

make right click on the rar file(s) you think it causes the error..

Open with.. >> Winrar >> [Tools] >> Repair archive

wait to process ends

then try again to extract;

G'day

I tried everything many times and nothing worded. I could only repair archive part 1 with WinRar. Finally WinRar crashed and didn't open anything. Had to uninstall it and reinstall.

I downloaded from the link jalaffa gave me and burned the DVD with ImageBurn, no errors in the log, I'm a happy man. Next job is to buy a new HDD to install it.

I want to thank everyone for the help and advice given, I learned a few things.

Thanks

John

Try to install UniExtract and extract those files.
