for one of nsane's best member , madeinheaven ---

plz ,dont make an irresponsible decision ( of quitting nsane ) ,

which is in total contrast to your posts .Your Posts which are some of the most lucid , informative and Responsible ones .

did see what the staff did , merging your topic with the topic of another member sidarth .

i agree with you ,

it does hurt to see your work taken away and then making it to sit in the same basket along with the one who you most despise . !

your every topic n post is well arranged and as easy as ABCD , and i or any one else can sure imagine how much hard work it takes to compile the stuff and post it,, and then all the more , when you have to update it regularly and also cater to other members queries along side ...!

and on the other side ,

the other member ( the one with whom your topic has been merged with ) , i have observed is not so courteous and helpful as you are , and he has even ridiculed your and even other members works many a times .

so yes it does get unjustified and harsh .

inciting a strong sense of indignation .

i am just thinking , that if an outsider can notice this , then of course a a site staff can also see this .

and still merging the stuff .

what ever ,

m not a member or a admin , and so dont know what all goes in managing this stuff and like ,

but the thing i know is ,

my stuff is mine ,

the one i developed and keep up . is mine .

and who ever the incharge is , should exercise just a lil bit of courtesy and ask of me before doing the needful ...!

so my vote , goes for madeinheaven .

but still madeinheaven ,

i cant or no body can tell you to stay or leave ,

but if you do ,

your presence will and is surely appreciated by guests like me, others and of course the members .

knowledge is sharing and yes you do help people like me a lot .

remember ,

winners never quit ,

quitter never wins .

peace ...

buddy ...

how about a "chill pill"- less of argument- more of "good and forgiving will"?- that's what nSaneForums is about!

as emotional your post is- better be deleted- enough of bad karma/ emotions already

I think that 'taking a chill pill' really is understating the issue...

I also feel that people forget this is a forum... not a blog of warez posting site as well.. Some things attract way too much attention.. especially when advertised on the Front Page... and this statement is not to offend anyone nor take there work and efforts for granted. Back to the forum part.. A forum contains posts by various members, these posts can be from anything from Tutorials, which belong in the tutorial section - sort of a 'How-To' part of the forum..to updates which are reflected on the front page and may also include postings which include other softwares which members use and would like to share with others.. We have News from around the world pertaining to security and privacy... We have a 'Chat Bar' area.. you get the picture there.. What it is not, is a personal blog, which lists your harvested programs.. that is a posting of just YOUR stuff.. This is a Forum Community... therefore territorial pissing on one program r the next should be a deprecated idea.. Even with 'medicine' attached you see many different versions of programs, and within these versions you have all sorts of methods.. Some post there very own hard work while others gather these 'medicine' included programs and package them, upload them and spread them about, using there own accounts and time as well as bandwidth to do so.. Laying their own well-being out there...

To quibble over who gets to post such things is a bit aggressive for a forum.. and is more geared towards a scene site.. If there are 'medicine' wars ( :P ) Those would be at the appropriate homes of the originator, WHERE IT BELONGS.. Where proper credit is given.. and those issues have a home.

A tutorial should be in the appropriated section.. and not a copy of something already there.. Sometimes the management of all of this data can be quite a chore...as well as verifying that step fr step these topics are the same. When a Topic comes under the same heading in a forum.. For those very same reasons, and the access of that data in one central location for the Users, Topics will be merged. The posting still retains the poster's id and information and credit still remains.. the only difference is that it is not a stand alone topic, in which a title can be changed. Using the topics to mark your territory is not what I have seen this forum to be..Friendly competition.. fine.. all in good spirits.. but to become aggressive towards Staff and Admin for completely simple daily tasks.. and towards other members for posting similar topics or postings.. even if duplicated.. Makes no sense.. there is nothing to be gained.. and if you want to so something for real clout.. THEN I would suggest, writing your own coded 'medicine', and making a name for yourself which in fact far reached any forum, site, or connection. Those really are the things people will look for if reputable and worthy of it.. Turing it into a 'whore train' which results in 'Repetitive-Stress Syndrome'.. really doesn't render any far reaching results nor have any staying power as it is mostly like a cocaine addiction until one day you OD... and you stay needy in the process.. Its all around unhealthy and bad for you that way i every regard.. including building negative morale among the fellow members of said communities..

If the effort here is to make this forum better, then collaborate and pool those efforts.. Make a list of desirables.. work for those.. share the space and make the whole process more expedient.. Learn how to make it work for you.. not against your very being... I mean its easy to get pulled in.. to something... usually starts as a simple idea and you keep trying... harder and harder to make sure you accomplish your goal.. Yet there is such a resource out there that nobody will win...Too focused on the wrong point or simply too task oriented itself.... many other things go without properly maintaining in the long run.. Which winds up in the usual train wreck...

Appreciation usually comes from more advance notes that you cannot already find out there which will draw attention to the posting.. Some of these are actually used and the information reposted for individuals which cannot find it online themselves or who need help with a particular issue.. But rewriting the same things over and over again really doesn't accomplish much.. AND especially with proven methods will or may not generate much feedback at all.. Problematic solutions usually do.. and when questions arise it is usually simply with areas that an individual may have overlooked.. left to question or are into covered, as sometimes shown by those who do advanced tutorials and forget about the everyday user who is not going to already know.. SO, two or forty things there.. :P

If you feel an error has been made, you can always address the issue with the Staff.. or Mods.. but I do not feel that really it requires nor should be triggering tat sort of issue if there was not also an underlying problem that can be created through working hard and putting in effort.. or even pushing to reach a higher level.. Sometimes though the best thing to do is change the method.. not try to force it...

No need for hissy fits or rage quits. I say that with the sincerest of good intentions. We have had forum rules regarding duplicate content for a long time now; nobody reads it. :(

Both parties involved here had ample notifications and time to edit their content and make it unique as they initially started off; nobody did anything. :(

You may think we are bad but there are other more strict forums out there that delete duplicate topics on sight without asking questions. I'd say we are very easy-going here. :)

Do note that all members are subject to the same set of rules and when we take action it is NEVER anything personal and should not be taken as personal attacks.

madeinheaven should understand that nothing we have done here is out of the ordinary, it would be the same for any other member. He should reconsider his idea about wanting to leave and think about all his friends here who look forward to his topics. Even though we don't say it enough, the staff appreciates his topics as well, we can see that he puts alot of effort and time into them. This why ample time was given for an alternative solution but neither of the parties involved edited their topics to fix the situation, instead the opposite was done to intensify everything.

The line had to be drawn somewhere. I hope everyone understands.

With respect, I do not believe the admins acted improperly at all.

I think they were right in merging the threads, so that users could easily find the instructions/advice they

need.

The people that ask you questions, use your fixes/files, happen to be grateful to be able to speak

to someone with knowledge in the area that they need.

That is the same for people that use someone elses work or advice.

I am personally grateful to the admins for taking such a hands on approach to this forum.

If they did not, it would be one helluva mess very quickly. This is by far one of the most well run and complicated forums

I have ever seen. The fact it is so easy for the users to navigate once again belongs to the work of the admins.

I do not think they do anything out of spite, I think what they do comes mainly from a USER perspective, and the need

to keep the forum orderly and stream lined.

Can you imagine what this forum would look like with out all the attention to upkeep it gets?

C'mon now, you know deep down this is all true. No one here belittles anybody's work, and it seems that people

here work together alot of the times to come up with great solutions such as the ones you work on.

Leaving is your choice, but please do not blame the forum.

With respect to you......
