Computer wont boot

So, a client brought a computer in today, and i ended up replacing the fan. After which, i had to reinstall the OS. After plugging in the fan, i reinstalled the OS using acronis universal restore, and installed all the drivers. I rebooted, and everything was fine. I installed Eset, rebooted, and the computer did not go passed the bios screen. I popped out the cmos battery, waited, and plugged it back in, and it passed the bios, but went to a black screen.

I inserted a windows boot cd (to reinstall the OS), and the disk wouldn't spin, and was met with the black screen again. Dont know what it could be (possibly hard drive?)

PLEASE HELP!

Tapping F8 or esc to get into the bios options results in a black screen as well!

Maybe the BIOS got corrupted somehow. If so you need to clear the CMOS, usually that can be done with a jumper or a dipswitch if the motherboard supports it. If that doesn't work you have to replace the BIOS chip. Other than that I have no idea what you can do. Here's some info about clearing the CMOS. I hope that helps.

Check ram might not inserted correctly.

Checked the ram, tried reseating em', i took out the cmos batter to make sure that wasn't the case, but, maybe didn't leave it out for too long. Will try the jumping to see if that works

Reflash the ROM if you can get it to boot. Try some different memory sticks and diff power supply. Make sure there's no trash under the MBoard (like a lost screw).

You're trying the right things it sounds like.

After taking out the video card (replaced it), the tv tuner, and the dial up card, the computer booted up like a charm. One of the ram sticks were having issues, took that bugger out, and all was well. In other words, everything was broken. xD
