jalaffa
<img src="http://www.nsanedown.com/images/logos/Skype2.png" class="logo" alt="Skype" title="Skype" />Skype is a little piece of software that lets you make free calls to anyone else on Skype, anywhere in the world. And even though the calls are free, they are really excellent quality. If you and your friends, family or business contacts are using webcams, you can also make free video calls. You can even call landlines and mobile phones at really cheap per minute rates (and there's no setup or subscription fee). Thanks to <span style="color: red;">thylacine</span> for the update.<a href="http://www.nsanedown.com/?request=6058899" target="_blank">Download</a>

rseiler
Yes, but note that what may be for the first time, they have two notably different flavors on one platform (ther MSI version has Facebook integration and Click to Call features disabled).http://blogs.skype.com/garage/2011/07/skype_for_windows_55_deeper_facebook_integration_improved_video_reliability_and_new_emoticons_release_notes.html

Olexijl
If you really wanna MSI package, which indeed should NOT include Facebook crap, than grab 5.5.32.112 (not 5.5.0.112), here: http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-msi . This does not include such deep Facebook thing.Edit: Why they released 5.5.0.112 with complete features here: http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-full ? I do not know.jalaffa, marik, or someone authorized: please update your links.

Ultravires
I downloaded the version from there main site and when i ran it through the sandbox, i found it funny how they were offering to install the Google toolbar when they have been bought out by MS

rseiler
Sad to say, Skype needs to be cracked. Has anyone noticed that it always opens up to the "Home" screen now? That's not really acceptable. Further, if you configure for Compact mode, it still does it (and shows you the contacts window for good measure). Nice going, Skype.

rseiler
thanks for the update , skype is having rough time when i try to log in Yes, they're definitely going to have to fix the "new" login screen with a maintenance release. It also breaks the /minimized switch. In the meantime you can do this:-Close Skype from the tray (i.e. completely)-Go here: %programdata%\Skype\Apps\login-Rename index.html to something else-Restart Skype.BTW, if you're using XP, it's located in a different place. Drill down under %ALLUSERSPROFILE% and you'll see it.
