Chris`
Hi,I'm looking for a program that I can use to convert .avi, .mkv, and all the usual movie extensions to a DVD playable format (vob, ifo) that allows me to specify 2 pass, and a high screen resolution for the converted movie. I have tried ImTOO Video Converter however this does not covert the need .ifo files to burn to a playable DVD. Does anybody know a couple of really good softwares, doesn't matter if they are paid or freeware. Thanks a lot guys.
Pedrito
You can try Freemake Video Converter. It converts to many formats, maybe it will to DVD the way you want.I like the program allot. :dance2:

RadioActive
I do a lot of encoding (mainly anime and HD movies) and my favorites are:- WindAVI All-in-one converter: pretty straightforward and quite fast.- Xvid4PSP: don't let the name fool you, it converts anything and it's pretty good but it can be a bit slow.- MediaCoder: very customizable, so it suites more experienced use

Maxhedroom
A good rule of thumb for encoding/transcoding apps is that 'faster' almost never means better and if your going thru the trouble of encoding then what's a few extra minutes to guarantee top quality? ;)
