Quick Question about TeamViewer

Sonar

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to disable the box that shows "at the bottom right" when connected?

Or would i have to use something else like VNC?

I want to be able to see desktop without the users knowledge and leave without them knowing.

Ive never used vnc but some 1 suggested it to me.

I think you can forget about TV, since there's not only the box you're talking about (which I've never seen any way of disabling), but also the "Thanks for playing fair" popup that the host side sees when you disconnect. Someone can probably recommend a flavor of VNC that does it.

I don't know if that's possible but if you just want to remotely see what the user is doing and not take control of the computer, you can try Network Lookout Administrator. I tried it once and It's not free though. You have to install an agent to the computer and setup a password for it and it runs as a service. There's no visible icon on the taskbar and the user won't notice if it's being monitored. There's also an option to remotely control the desktop if you want.

No bad intentions from me Toyo, I don't play like that. I was simply pointing to him the product and as it happens there was a post for that here. I personally haven't downloaded from that link myself and he could have just also read the comments from that post. My bad for not warning him regarding that post.

Not you :P

Anyway, trojans and legit remote admin tools like Radmin/TV/etc. sometimes act pretty much the same, but their purpose differentiate them. Sometimes, the curiosity (or need to know) is so big that many normal users fall to the "dark side" for a while, until they find out the piece of info they need. From my experience, this almost always has something to do with current/past lovers and their (suspected) infidelities :P

I can only hope Sonar is not having any malicious intent...

RadioActive

TewamViewer is meant for remote support not for Spying (for the lack of a better term). You might wanna try RAdmin ot NetSupport.

No bad intentions. Just to keep an eye on the younger brother's who are 30-50 miles away.

But with teamviewer - I cant stop access from there end - they are on a limited account so they cant disable anything - apart from ESC me from control.

VNC can be set up to disable there control? so they cant take it back from me? unless they turn the laptop off.

Bare in mind they are 8 & 14. they are getting smart as days go by. - They arnt smart enough to crack my admin log-in yet lol...

You could install a keylogger and set it to send you what they type, visited addresses, and screenshots (although I think there are much more sophisticated versions that can do much more).

Or you could install some parental control application, like the one in Kaspersky's Internet Security.

I didn't meant some nastie from hacking sites :P

There are totally legal keyloggers, in business for long time now ;)

But if you can do this with the router, maybe you don't need to bother installing VNC or Radmin.
