Having some weird stuff happening when I'm downloading from here. Here's what I'm working with if it helps.

Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium (SP1) Version 6.1.7601

IE9 9.0.8112.16421

Update Version (KB2530548)

ESETSmart Security v.5.0.84.0 Update Module 1310B(20110617) & current Virus database (downloaded from a friend's PC)

Addresses excluded from filtering: "dereferer.ws/*, proxy.nsandown.com/*, www.hhuu.net/*

Couldn't find anything on block referals or refer blocks or stealth mode in IE9

When I click on a dreferer.ws link to begin a d/l IE9 opens a new tab, but the new tab is a white screen with nothing displayed. If I refresh the screen thethe dereferer.ws screen appears and I'm notified to start my download.

If i'm download a trial reset from a proxy.nsane link, I also get the white screen but a refresh sends me back to the original link for the files (that displays "having problems downloading? refer to the FAQ.

It's even worse on the ESET links, when the refresh will bring up the dereferer page but the download never begins. Additionally the "please click here" link doesn't appear as a link at all. I've been back and foth thru FAQ and follow up posts. Additionally if I try to click on the either of the eset fixes that point to proxy.nsane...it also white screens and the refresh throws me back to the original link for the files (that displays "having problems downloading refer to the FAQ."

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I tried that as well. It works fine on downloading ESET 5 RC, but for not for either of the 4.2.71 links or the fixes. Thanks for the fast response. Hopefully someone will shed someone will shed some light on my problem.

The dereferer 'click here' link is broken indeed (it's a problem on their end, I'll see if I can get in touch with them).

The issue you are having with downloading from the proxy is really weird... It is probably not a referer issue because if you had a faulty/empty referer you would be redirected to the index, but that only happens after you refresh the page (as you stated). So there is something that stops the page from loading. Could you start up IE in 'safe mode' (I believe it has that, with all add-ons, toolbars, etc. disabled) and try downloading from the proxy?

To get things clear: the behavior which happens after you refresh (you are redirected to the index) is expected/normal. The 'white screen'-behavior is not (and this appears to be a problem specific to your setup; can you confirm it does work in Firefox, Chrome, or Opera?).

-----

It's great to see my 'if there is a problem redirect the user to index and display an error message'-approach is working :D :P

Thanks Shought, starting IE9 in safe mode did make a difference and now I'm not the white screen and the downloads to start up, except for the ESET 4.271 link. Hope that will get fixed soon too.

I couldn't get the Diskeeper 2011 64-bit fix to download. Looks like a rapidshare connection but I click to save but stated it couldnt find the file. Not sure that was previously addressed. Thanks everyone who took the time to leave me a response, it was quite helpful.

It's probably some addon causing this strange behavior, you could try disabling/enabling them one by one to find out which one it is and then look around in the settings a little ;)

The ESET (Smart Security) 4.2.71.2 links are indeed not working, I'll have a look at those.

I'll check out the Diskeeper x64 fix as well.

Thanks for 'reporting' those :)

Edit: The Diskeeper links are working fine, instead of right-clicking and pressing 'save file' you should just click them and then the file should download automatically.

I've updated the trial keys in the ESET Smart Security listing, so these are fixed now ;)

My apologies shought, when I said the Diskeeper 2011 "fix" files wouldnt' work, I specifically was looking at the 64 bit fixes. Both the 32-bit Pro Premier and 32-bit Enterprise Server work fine. They're pointing to the nsane proxy. It's the two 64-bit fixes that point at rapidshare. Don't know if there's anything you can do about that portion. It let's me start the download, but then almost immediately get an error from Windows that the file couldn't be downloaded. Thanks for all your help. Didn't mean to be a pest.

Not a problem at all! :)

Those (Rapidshare) links seem to be working fine over here though... Maybe try a different browser?

Using FireFox now and everything appears to be working correctly. Stupid Mickey Soft IE9. Thanks to everyone who posted, much appreciated.
