Technical and Historical Notes

Neo Russia's entry in the 13th Gundam Fight relies on raw power. In fact, the GF13-013NR Bolt Gundam was the second most powerful Gundam in the tournament in terms of raw power, second only to Neo Canada's GF13-037NCA Lumber Gundam.

Also, Gundam Fighter Argo Gulskii was an odd choice as a pilot, mainly because he was a convicted criminal and former space pirate. His criminal past is something he was forced to confront in the present, as Neo Canada's Gundam Fighter Andrew Graham blamed Argo for the death of his wife Norma. Five years earlier, Argo's spaceship crashed into a space station the Grahams were working on.

Despite Argo's efforts to save her, Norma was sucked out into space and lost. After this Graham developed an intense hatred for Argo and became Neo Canada's Gundam Fighter simply so that he could kill Argo.

While the Bolt Gundam was very powerful, at first the government of Neo Russia wouldn't allow Argo to even fight. In an ingenious tactic they would draw Gundam Fighters to Neo Russia for a fight and then detain them in prison for the rest of their lives.

In this manner they could eliminate their competition and get into the Finals without even fighting. This technique was used until Argo fought against Domon Kasshu and his GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam. The Bolt Gundam's main armament consisted of four head-mounted vulcan guns and one Graviton hammer for close range attacks.

Like the rest of the Shuffle Alliance, Argo trained in the Guyana Highlands and developed a Hyper Mode and a new final move: the Zakaretsu Gaia Crusher. This powerful attack could make the ground spike up to either surround an enemy or impale him. Despite a draw with Domon, Argo qualified for the Finals and Battle Royale and participated in the final battle against the JDG-00X Devil Gundam.

Technical and Historical Notes

The monstrous JDG-00X Devil Gundam that lurked in the shadows of the 13th Gundam Fight was originally intended for a more noble purpose. As designed by the Kasshus, the Ultimate Gundam was supposed to use its nanotechnology to restore the battered Earth to its original condition.

However, while Kyoji Kasshu tried to keep it out of the hands of Ulube Ishikawa, a system malfunction caused the Ultimate Gundam to transform into the Devil Gundam. The Devil Gundam seized Kyoji and used him as the core life unit to power its own self-evolution. After arriving on Earth, the Devil Gundam was found by Master Asia, the former King of Hearts and winner of the 12th Gundam Fight.

Angered at the damage done to Earth by the Gundam Fight, Master Asia hoped to use the Devil Gundam to destroy humanity and restore the Earth to its original condition.

The constantly evolving Devil Gundam came with several armaments, including head vulcans powerful enough to destroy a mobile fighter and a beam cannon that could destroy many mobile suits at once. However, it usually fought by creating the mass produced Death Army mobile suit line, Gundam Head weapon or the Gundams of the Four Heavenly Kings.

This was accomplished with the use of the nanotech DG cells, which had the power to create weapons, resurrect corpses, control living humans and repair the Devil Gundam. The Devil Gundam was secretly moved to the Shinjuku area of Neo Japan's Tokyo, and this eventually caught the attention of the Neo Japan space colony.

Gundam Fighter Domon Kasshu and his partner Rain Mikamura were sent to investigate and eventually discovered that Master Asia had become a servant of the Devil Gundam. After the Devil Gundam left Tokyo, it followed Domon Kasshu to South America's Guyana Highlands, where he had gone to train to fight Master Asia. After a fierce battle, Domon destroyed the Devil Gundam with his GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam.

However, Master Asia and Neo Hong Kong's Wong Yun Fat were in league and secretly transported the Devil Gundam's remains to Neo Hong Kong. Wong himself wanted to restore the Devil Gundam so that he could make himself the ruler of the universe. There was one problem: Domon's attack had injured Kyoji's body so severely that he was virtually worthless as a core life unit.

Wong's research revealed that as a giver of life a woman was the best choice as a core life unit, and he planned to use Neo Sweden's Allenby Beardsley. On the other hand, Master Asia was convinced that Domon was the right choice as a core life unit. As the Battle Royale began on Lantao Island, the Devil Gundam was resurrected. Domon again destroyed the Devil Gundam, this time with his GF13-017NJII God Gundam. After the Gundam Fight ended with Domon as the winner, Ulube transported the Devil Gundam back to space for his own ambition.

Following Wong's notes, he used Rain Mikamura as the core life unit and resurrected the Devil Gundam, making it more powerful than ever before. In its new form, the Devil Gundam merged with the Neo Japan space colony to form the Colony Devil Gundam. With the power of the space colony, the Devil Gundam began to attack Earth and destroy entire cities. Domon penetrated the interior of the colony with his God Gundam and rescued Rain by admitting his love for her. Without a core life unit, Domon was able to finally destroy the Devil Gundam completely.

Fixed armaments: 2 x 8-tube missile launcher, mounted in shoulders

Optional hand armaments: double Gatling gun, can be stored on backpack storage racks; bazooka, can be stored on backpack storage racks; beam cannon

Technical and Historical Notes

Originally developed in AC 195 as a replacement for the aging OZ-06MS Leo, the OZ-17MS Serpent's production lines at the X-18999 space colony were seized by the Barton Foundation following that year's military and political strife. The Barton Foundation then began production of 500 Serpent units (now re-designated MMS-01) for its puppet military force, the Mariemaia Army. Intent on using the Mariemaia Army's force against the now de-militarized Earth Sphere United Nation, the Barton Foundation intended to follow through with its original plans to seize control of the Earth Sphere.

The MMS-01 Serpent, like its Leo predecessor, was a versatile mobile suit capable of being equipped for both space and land combat. Built of the new-and-improved neo-titanium alloy, the Serpent was physically almost as tough as the gundanium-armored Gundams, but much less expensive to produce. Armed with shoulder missile launchers, the Serpent could also carry a variety of hand-carried weapons, such as a bazooka, a large beam cannon or a double-barreled Gatling gun similar to that carried by the XXXG-01H2 Modified Gundam Heavyarms. Since the Earth Sphere United Nation had scrapped all of its military weapons - including mobile suits - the Serpent was not armed with any hand-to-hand combat weapons.

this is why i like Wing Zero so much and in Endless Waltz and the Zero System combat computer/pilot interface in cockpit to make you go harder and longer.

Fixed armaments: 2 x machine cannon, fire-linked, mounted in torso; 2 x beam saber, stored in recharge racks in wing binders, hand-carried in use

Optional hand armaments: twin buster rifle, can be separated into two separate single-barrel buster rifles

Technical and Historical Notes

Before there were five Gundams, there was only one - and it existed strictly on paper. It was AC 180 - fifteen years before they would send their own respective custom-built Gundams to wage guerilla warfare on Earth - and the five eccentric scientists Doctor J, Professor G, Instructor H, Doktor S and Master O, had just completed designing the first mobile suit of that era, the OZ-00MS Tallgeese.

Seeing their work being put to oppressive use in the form of mass-produced Leos - and spawned by the assassination of space colony political leader Heero Yuy - the five scientists decided to design their own mobile suit which could overpower OZ's forces. This mobile suit was the XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero, and it was a design to truly be feared.

In addition to being extremely maneuverable, it sported Gatling-like machine cannons, beam sabers, and an extremely powerful twin buster rifle, capable of wiping out entire groups of mobile suits in a single shot.

However, one more factor put the Wing Zero above everything else: the cockpit's "Zero System," which allowed the pilot's mind to interface directly with the Gundam's combat computer. Although the exact nature of the Zero System's operation is unclear, it appeared to operate by "sampling" the pilot's thoughts and, combining them with current combat data, presented the pilot with various alternate outcomes.

Thus, depending on the pilot's mood, the Zero System could tell him/her how to achieve total victory... or decisive defeat. Nevertheless, the mental stresses the Zero System would place on the pilot would be too great for any ordinary human to handle, and even the five mad scientists saw the dangerous turn their work was taking.

And thus, the Wing Gundam Zero project was shelved. A copy of the plans went with each of the five scientists when they broke up and went underground to pursue their own individual plans for revolution against OZ. The Wing Zero design would serve as a base model for the five Gundams that would actually be built and sent to Earth.

In AC 195, unfortunate circumstances placed Gundam Sandrock pilot Quatre Raberba Winner in space without a Gundam, with a dead father, and with enemies of the very space colonists he was fighting to free. Wracked by a serious mental imbalance, Quatre discovered the abandoned work of the five scientists, and he built the Wing Zero.

Mindless of its dangerous Zero System, Quatre took off to destroy anyone and everyone fighting in space. Though his mental condition was temporary, the Wing Zero's power proved truly terrible, as Quatre used it to destroy an entire space colony. After that, the Wing Gundam Zero would pass from one pilot to another until it landed in the hands of former OZ pilot Zechs Merquise, and then Gundam pilot Heero Yuy - two of the only humans known to actually master the Zero System by making use of its advantages while preventing it from driving them mad.
